Calibrate exclusion zones

In the organization’s AI Cameras section, choose the camera’s calibration control and request a fresh frame. The assigned device must be online and able to access the stream. Images are for authorized administrators and can contain identifiable people.

  1. Add an exclusion zone and give it a useful name.
  2. Place at least three points around the irrelevant region.
  3. Save the zones and verify the next measurements.
  4. Repeat calibration if the camera moves or its field of view changes.

Exclusion polygons affect counting. They are not visual redaction: people inside a polygon may still appear in the captured image. Single-frame inference checks the bottom-center of a detection box against polygons; video inference can also apply track-based filtering depending on the deployed worker.

Calibration access expires. Storage deletion is a separate process from link expiration. Diagnostic capture and retention depend on the deployed device and backend version. Do not assume a screenshot or exported local file disappears when its online link expires.

See Privacy for data handling and deletion requests. Avoid sharing calibration images as support attachments unless necessary and authorized.
