Facility viewer and displays
Set up your viewer
Section titled “Set up your viewer”Create areas, group them into categories, and configure organization hours and timezone. Areas can inherit organization hours or have their own schedule. An explicitly empty area schedule can mean closed rather than inherit.
Review the public viewer after changes. It presents status such as Open, Closed, and Maintenance, with opening or closing details. Camera estimates are an additional signal and are not required to publish operating status.
Temporary changes
Section titled “Temporary changes”Use overrides for closures, maintenance, or exceptional hours. Check the start, end, and affected area. Whole-facility overrides can take precedence over individual areas. Remove or end an override when it no longer applies.
Realtime behavior
Section titled “Realtime behavior”The member UI listens for realtime updates. Canonical status plans use organization timezone rules and UTC transitions so viewers and integrations can agree. A working deployment must regenerate plans after configuration changes; verify the backend triggers or workers used by your environment.
For integrations, effective status exposes current status and measurement freshness. Do not calculate a separate schedule from cached raw configuration if you need the canonical result.
Website and lobby display
Section titled “Website and lobby display”Use the facility display view for lobby screens. Test text size and legibility on the actual screen. For embeds, use the organization-specific configuration in your integration setup and test the host website. Public displays should never expose administrator credentials or subscriber data.
