Getting started
FaciliPulse can begin as a simple status page and grow into live occupancy, member notifications, and connected workflows. You do not need to configure every feature on day one.
1. Create your organization
Section titled “1. Create your organization”Create an account, confirm the organization name and contact information, and choose the correct timezone. The timezone affects opening hours, scheduled overrides, notification times, and historical reports.
Organization administrators can manage day-to-day settings. Some security-sensitive tasks—including integration credentials—require an organization super administrator.
2. Add areas and hours
Section titled “2. Add areas and hours”Create the spaces members care about, such as the fitness floor, pool, courts, or track. Group related areas into categories and configure regular hours. An area can inherit organization hours or use its own schedule.
Before publishing the viewer, check:
- names are short and recognizable;
- hours cover holidays and known exceptions;
- the organization timezone is correct; and
- closed or maintenance states use language members will understand.
See Facility viewer and displays for overrides, website embeds, and lobby screens.
3. Publish a first status
Section titled “3. Publish a first status”Use a manual override to test a temporary closure or maintenance notice. Confirm the affected scope, start and end time, public note, and resulting status in the member-facing viewer. End the test override when you are finished.
4. Add the capabilities you need
Section titled “4. Add the capabilities you need”- Live occupancy: review camera requirements, then define counting and exclusion zones.
- Member updates: configure topics, consent, and channels using Notifications and delivery.
- Connected workflows: compare Slack, Zapier, webhooks, embeds, and API access.
- Subscription: review plans and limits and billing management.
5. Validate before launch
Section titled “5. Validate before launch”Open the public viewer in a private browser window, test it on a phone and the actual lobby display, and ask another administrator to review the content. Send notification and integration tests only to approved destinations. For camera-based occupancy, compare several sample periods with staff observations before promoting the count to members.
