Edge devices and relays

FaciliPulse uses device-scoped configuration for edge camera workers and relay deployments. Obtain the supported installation package and environment-specific instructions from support; do not assume a universal desktop installer or hardware minimum.

  1. An organization administrator registers the device in AI Cameras.
  2. Transfer its organization ID, device ID, backend URL, and device secret securely to the device.
  3. Start the configured worker and assign the intended cameras to it.
  4. Confirm that the device reports health and receives its scoped camera configuration.
  5. Verify a measurement reaches the correct area before leaving it unattended.

The device secret authenticates the worker. It is different from an organization integration API key or a staff session token. Device configuration contains camera credentials and must remain private.

Monitor last contact time, camera errors, and configuration version. If a device is replaced, update assignments and revoke the old credential. An offline worker may retain a local configuration backup; decommissioning must include cleaning that device.

The Raspberry Pi worker, local inference service, and any separately distributed relay can have different release versions. Privacy and diagnostic controls must be verified on each deployed consumer.

For setup help, contact support@facilipulse.com with the organization and device identifiers, without secrets.
